K. Michelle, born Kimberly Michelle Pate, is an American R&B singer known for her powerhouse vocals and unflinchingly candid songwriting. She signed to Jive Records in 2009 and released early singles like Fakin It before her profile rose significantly after joining the reality series Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, which introduced her music to a much wider audience.
