JoJo, born Joanna Noëlle Blagden Levesque on December 20, 1990, is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She first gained attention as a child performer on television talent competitions before being signed to Blackground Records, releasing her self-titled debut album at just thirteen years old. The album’s breakout single «Leave (Get Out)» made her one of the youngest artists to reach the top of the Billboard charts, and her follow-up album «The High Road» included the hit «Too Little Too Late».

After years of contractual disputes that delayed new music, JoJo re-emerged with mixtapes and looser R&B-leaning material, including collaborations reflected in songs like «Marvins Room (Can’t Do Better)» and «Comeback (Remix)». Her voice, a powerful and mature alto often noted as unusual for her age when she debuted, has remained her defining trait, allowing her to move between polished pop-R&B and rawer, more confessional material as she matured as an artist.

Her third studio album, «Mad Love», arrived a decade after her second, followed by re-recorded versions of her early catalog and the albums «Good to Know» and «Trying Not to Think About It». Alongside music, JoJo has also pursued acting, appearing in films such as «Aquamarine» and «G.B.F.», building a career that spans both screen and studio.
