Jessie Reyez, born Jessica Reyez on June 12, 1991, is a singer-songwriter from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, known for her raw, emotionally direct songwriting and distinctive, gritty vocal delivery. She began writing music as a child and left school to pursue a music career, gaining early traction through collaborations with rappers King Louie and Derin Falana before breaking out on her own.
