James Blake

James Blake is an English singer-songwriter, producer and musician from London, widely regarded as a defining figure in the post-dubstep and experimental electronic scene of the early 2010s. Emerging from a background rooted in UK bass music, he became known for fusing sparse, bass-heavy electronic production with soulful, emotionally raw vocals, creating a minimalist sound built around silence and space as much as sound itself. His self-titled debut album James Blake, released in 2011 on his own label ATLAS, was met with widespread critical acclaim and established his signature style.

His subsequent albums, including Overgrown, The Colour in Anything and Assume Form, further developed his blend of electronic production, soul and singer-songwriter sensibilities, with Assume Form becoming his highest-charting release.
