Jagged Edge

Jagged Edge are an American R&B group from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in the mid-1990s and consisting of identical twins Brian and Brandon Casey alongside Richard Wingo and Kyle Norman. Signed to Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Recordings, the group became one of the defining acts of late-1990s and 2000s R&B, known for smooth harmonies, romantic ballads and radio-friendly grooves.

Their breakthrough came with the album J.E. Heartbreak, which produced enduring hits like «Let's Get Married» and «Promise», songs that became staples of R&B radio and wedding playlists alike. Other well-known tracks such as «Walked Outta Heaven», «Where the Party At» and «I Gotta Be» showcased the group's range, moving between heartfelt balladry and up-tempo party anthems, often with input from Dupri and other Atlanta-based producers of the era.

Jagged Edge's sound sits at the crossroads of traditional vocal-group R&B and the polished, hip-hop-inflected production coming out of Atlanta during the So So Def years. Their close vocal blend, rooted partly in the Casey twins' natural harmony, helped the group maintain a loyal following across multiple decades and albums.
