Hippie Sabotage

Hippie Sabotage is an American electronic/hip-hop production duo formed by brothers Kevin and Jeff Saurer in Sacramento, California. They began making beats in the mid-2000s, working with local producer Chase Moore and supplying instrumentals to rappers such as J. Leake and Yukmouth before branching into their own releases. Their sound blends trap-influenced percussion, moody synths, and hip-hop songcraft, often paired with soulful or ethereal vocal samples that give their tracks a cinematic, atmospheric quality.

The duo built an early catalog of EPs and singles, including «Vacants», «White Tiger», and «Sunny», before breaking through internationally in 2014 when singer Ellie Goulding shared their remix of Tove Lo's «Stay High» on social media. That moment introduced Hippie Sabotage to a much wider audience and helped establish them as a name associated with dark, bass-driven remixes and originals.

Songs like «Devil Eyes», «Your Soul», and «High Enough» became streaming staples, showcasing their knack for combining trap beats with dreamy, melancholic hooks.
