Estelle Fanta Swaray, known simply as Estelle, is a British singer-songwriter, rapper and producer from West London, England, born in 1980. She emerged in the mid-2000s as part of a wave of British female artists reshaping UK R&B, soul and hip-hop, drawing on Caribbean and West African heritage in her sound. Her eclectic style spans soul, reggae, grime, hip-hop, pop and dance, marking her as one of the more genre-fluid voices of the British urban scene of her generation.

Estelle achieved major international breakthrough with «American Boy», her Grammy-winning collaboration with Kanye West, which topped charts and became a defining transatlantic hit of the late 2000s. She has continued to work across genres, notably teaming with David Guetta on «One Love», and releasing well-received songs such as «1980», «Free» and «Thank You» that showcase her range as both vocalist and rapper.

Beyond music, Estelle is known to a generation of younger audiences as the voice of Garnet on the acclaimed Cartoon Network series Steven Universe, for which she also contributed to the show's music, including the song «We'll Be There».
