About the artist
Eric Prydz is a Swedish DJ and producer, based for much of his career in London, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in progressive house and techno since the mid-2000s. He first broke through internationally with «Call on Me» in 2004, a chart-topping hit built around a sample of Steve Winwood's «Valerie», followed by «Proper Education», which sampled Pink Floyd's «Another Brick in the Wall».
Beyond his radio-friendly hits, Prydz built a reputation as a serious underground artist through his Pryda alias and label, releasing deep, atmospheric progressive house tracks such as «Opus» and «Niton (The Reason)» that became staples of festival main stages and underground sets alike. Under the alias Cirez D, released on his Mouseville label, he explores harder, more stripped-down techno. His live show EPIC, featuring elaborate 3D holographic visuals, redefined expectations for electronic music production.
Prydz's sound is marked by cinematic builds, hypnotic basslines, and a balance between accessible melody and hard-edged club functionality. Tracks like «Breathe» and «Generate» show his ability to move between euphoric, emotional peaks and darker, more minimal territory, cementing his standing as both a chart presence and a respected figure among DJs and producers worldwide.
