Eric Bellinger

Eric Bellinger is an American R&B singer and songwriter born March 28, 1986, in Compton, California, and the grandson of Jackson 5 songwriter Bobby Day. He began his career as part of the R&B group AKNU signed to Epic Records before joining the songwriting collective The Writing Table, through which he penned songs for major pop and R&B artists including Chris Brown, Usher and Selena Gomez.

As a solo artist, Bellinger built momentum through his «Born II Sing» mixtape trilogy released between 2010 and 2013, before releasing his debut album «Cuffing Season» in 2015, powered by his breakout single «Focused On You». He continued with a steady stream of mixtapes and EPs before releasing his third studio album, «Eazy Call», in 2018, which he described as a greatest-hits-style collection pushing R&B forward. His sound blends smooth, melodic R&B vocals with rap-inflected cadences and touches of pop and electronic production, evident on tracks like «G.O.A.T.», «Drive By», «I Don't Want Her» and «Or Nah».

Bellinger has remained a prolific presence in R&B both as a songwriter behind the scenes and as a performer, with releases like «Valet (Remix)», «The 1st Lady», «Mean What You Say» and «Goat 2.0» reflecting his consistent output and his standing as a dependable hitmaker within contemporary R&B.
