Eloise

Eloise is a British singer-songwriter born in France, whose early exposure to music came from what her parents played at home—an influence she still returns to when facing writer's block. Her sound is soft, sentimental and steeped in classic songcraft, drawing on storytelling songwriters she admires such as Billy Joel, Gilbert O'Sullivan and Blossom Dearie, giving her music a jazz-and-soul-tinged, retro pop sensibility.

Her songs frequently explore love and heartache with an intimate, conversational tone. She released her debut single «You, Dear» in 2019, later included on her EP This Thing Called Living, which established her warm, understated vocal style and vintage-leaning arrangements. In 2021 she followed up with a second EP, Somewhere In-Between, further developing her blend of R&B, pop and soft-rock textures.

Eloise occupies a niche among younger British artists drawing on older songwriting traditions, standing out for her literate lyricism and unhurried, melodic approach rather than chasing contemporary pop trends.
