Dru Hill

Dru Hill is an American R&B vocal group formed in Baltimore in 1992 by Tamir «Nokio» Ruffin. The original lineup featured lead singer Mark «Sisqó» Andrews alongside Nokio, Larry «Jazz» Anthony, and James «Woody» Green, blending soul, hip hop soul, and gospel influences into a smooth, harmony-driven sound typical of 1990s R&B.

The group broke through in the mid-to-late 1990s with a run of hits including «In My Bed», «Tell Me», «5 Steps», and their signature ballad «How Deep Is Your Love», recorded for the soundtrack of the film Rush Hour. Their close vocal interplay and gospel-rooted delivery, paired with contemporary hip hop soul production, placed them among the defining R&B groups of the era, alongside acts like Boyz II Men and Jodeci.

Despite lineup changes over the years — including Sisqó's high-profile solo success with «Thong Song» — Dru Hill has remained active into the 2020s, continuing to perform and record while its catalog of number-one R&B hits secures its legacy as one of Baltimore's most successful musical exports.
