Crush (크러쉬)

Crush, born Shin Hyo-seob, is a South Korean singer-songwriter and producer widely regarded as one of the country's leading voices in contemporary R&B. He emerged from Seoul's underground hip-hop and R&B scene, notably as part of the Club Eskimo crew, before building a solo career defined by smooth, soulful vocals layered over jazz- and hip-hop-inflected production. He is currently signed to P Nation, the label founded by Psy, alongside artists such as Hyuna and Jessi.

Much of Crush's early recognition came through close collaboration with fellow Korean R&B and hip-hop musicians, including work with Zico and Dean as part of the Fanxychild collective, as well as early projects alongside Zion.T. This network of collaborators helped define a distinctly Korean take on modern R&B that blends English and Korean lyricism with atmospheric, downtempo production. Songs like «Beautiful» and «어떻게 지내 (Fall)» showcase his knack for melodic hooks paired with emotionally direct songwriting.

Since debuting in 2012, Crush has built a catalog spanning singles, EPs, and full albums, consistently praised by critics for its consistency and craftsmanship. His work has helped push R&B further into the mainstream of Korean popular music, influencing a generation of younger vocalists and producers working in the genre.
