Cleo Sol

Cleo Sol is a British R&B and soul singer-songwriter from West London, born in 1990. She emerged as a featured vocalist for UK acts before establishing herself as a solo artist through a close creative partnership with producer Inflo, whose lush, live-instrumentation-heavy production defines much of her catalogue. She is also a core member of the anonymous soul collective Sault, contributing vocals to their acclaimed run of albums.

Her solo work — including Rose in the Dark, Mother, Heaven, and Gold — is marked by warm, understated vocals, gospel and soul textures, and intimate, often spiritual songwriting about love, motherhood, and inner peace. Rather than chasing conventional pop hooks, her records favor mood and atmosphere, drawing comparisons to classic soul singers while sounding distinctly contemporary.

Cleo Sol has cited Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, and Jill Scott as influences, alongside a musical upbringing steeped in reggae, Motown, and Latin sounds.
