Ciara

Ciara Princess Wilson, known simply as Ciara, is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer born on October 25, 1985. She got her start in Atlanta as part of the girl group Hearsay before being discovered by producers L.A. Reid and Tricky Stewart, who helped launch her solo career and connected her with songwriting opportunities for other artists.

Her debut album, Goodies, introduced her as a distinctive voice in 2000s R&B and crunk-pop, pairing sharp choreography with a cool, percussive vocal delivery. Hits like «Goodies» and «1, 2 Step» showcased her knack for marrying dance-floor energy with R&B songcraft, and she continued that formula through the following decade with tracks such as «Promise» and «Get Up».

Over the course of her career Ciara has moved across labels and sounds, later albums leaning further into electronic and pop textures on songs like «I’m Out», «Body Party», and «I Bet», while «Level Up» became a notable comeback moment built around a viral dance. She is married to NFL quarterback Russell Wilson.
