Capella Grey

Capella Grey is an R&B singer, songwriter, and producer from the Bronx, New York, who broke through in 2021 with the single «Gyalis,» a smooth, melodic track that combined R&B songcraft with rap cadences and dancehall-inflected rhythm. The song's laid-back, seductive tone and its Caribbean-slang title (a Jamaican Patois term) reflected the blend of New York R&B and island influences that runs through his music.

Before stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist, Grey worked behind the scenes as a writer and producer, contributing to music for other acts, which shaped his ear for hooks and vocal arrangement. He is the founder of Allepac the Family, a record company affiliated with Capitol Records, giving him a hand in both his own releases and artist development.

«Gyalis» spawned multiple official versions, including a remix and a «Shemix,» extending its reach across radio and streaming. In 2022 he teamed up with singer-producer Nija on «Confujawn,» continuing to work at the intersection of R&B melody and rap-adjacent rhythm that defines his sound.
