Brent Jones

Brent Jones is an American gospel singer, choir director and songwriter known for combining traditional mass-choir sound with contemporary R&B and pop production. He built his reputation leading large ensemble choirs and has become one of the genre's most consistently charting artists, earning Grammy and Stellar Award recognition along the way.

His catalog includes anthems such as «Praise In The Choir Stand», «He Rose», «Nothing Else Matters» and «Live Your Best Life!», songs built around call-and-response vocal arrangements typical of Black church music, layered with modern rhythm-section production. He is credited with helping bridge the gap between traditional gospel choir tradition and radio-friendly urban contemporary gospel.

Jones has also worked outside gospel, contributing to sessions connected to major pop and R&B artists, and is known within the industry for an unusually heavy touring and release schedule, regularly performing well over a hundred dates a year and issuing multiple albums across choir, youth and contemporary formats.
