B2K

B2K was an American R&B boy band formed in Los Angeles in the late 1990s under the guidance of producer and manager Chris Stokes. The lineup came together with Lil' Fizz, J-Boog, and Raz-B as founding members, with Omarion joining shortly after to complete the group. Their name stood for «Boys of the New Millennium», reflecting the group's positioning as heirs to the late-90s R&B boy band tradition.

The group built its reputation on tight vocal harmonies, youthful R&B production, and sharp, synchronized choreography, qualities that made them central figures in the 2004 dance film You Got Served and fixtures on the touring circuit known as the Scream Tour. Songs like «Bump, Bump, Bump», «Uh Huh», and «Gots Ta Be» showcased a sound built on smooth hooks and rhythmic dance-pop energy, while tracks such as «Girlfriend» and «What A Girl Wants» leaned into more romantic, mid-tempo R&B territory typical of the era.

Their self-titled debut album was a major commercial success, reaching the top of the R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart and cementing B2K as one of the defining boy bands of the early 2000s. The group's split led directly to Omarion's prominent solo R&B career, and B2K's catalog remains a touchstone for early-2000s teen R&B and its close ties to dance and youth pop culture.
