Apashe

Apashe is the stage name of Raphael Von Ancken, an electronic music producer originally from Brussels, Belgium, now based in Montreal, Canada. He emerged from the bass music scene after signing to Kannibalen Records in 2011, building a reputation for cinematic, genre-blending production that fuses trap, dubstep and orchestral elements with heavy sound design. His breakout viral hit «No Twerk» brought him international attention, including chart success in Russia, while tracks like «Battle Royale» and «Majesty» found their way into major media placements.

Apashe's sound is defined by its dramatic, almost filmic scale — he is known for pairing aggressive bass drops with orchestral and choral textures, most notably on his Renaissance album, which was recorded with a 69-piece orchestra. His Requiem EP further cemented this hybrid approach, blending classical grandeur with modern electronic production and amassing tens of millions of streams. Songs such as «Sand Storm», «Dies Irae» and «Distance» showcase this range, moving between symphonic intensity and club-ready bass music.

Beyond studio releases, Apashe has built a distinct identity through elaborate live shows that reimagine his catalogue with unreleased edits and remixes, performing at major festivals including Tomorrowland, Electric Forest and Nocturnal Wonderland.
