Amenazzy

Amenazzy, born José Daniel Betances on August 4, 1995, in Santiago, Dominican Republic, is a Dominican urban artist who rose through the trap and dembow scenes of the mid-2010s. He first drew attention in 2013 with «Después del Party», then broke through more widely in 2015 with «La Chanty», a single that helped define the raw, street-oriented trap sound emerging from Santiago at the time.

His music blends trap, dembow, and mainstream Latin pop-R&B textures, often built around melodic hooks over hard-hitting electronic production. Songs like «Solo», «Ayer», and «Dios Bendiga» showcase his ability to move between introspective, melodic material and harder trap cuts, while collaborations and remixes such as «Dios Bendiga (Remix)» and «Jalapeño (Remix)» reflect the collaborative, remix-driven culture of Dominican and wider Latin urban music.
