Aloe Blacc

Aloe Blacc is an American singer, rapper and songwriter, known for blending soul, R&B and hip-hop influences. He first gained recognition as one half of the duo Emanon alongside producer Exile before launching a solo career with the self-produced debut Shine Through in 2006 on Stones Throw Records. His breakthrough came with the 2010 album Good Things and its single «I Need a Dollar», a soulful, recession-era anthem that became a UK top-two hit and reached platinum certification there.

Blacc's voice — warm, emotive and rooted in classic soul phrasing — has made him a go-to collaborator for dance and electronic producers looking to add emotional depth to their tracks.
