Admiral T

Admiral T, born Christy Campbell, is a leading figure of dancehall and reggae from Guadeloupe, active since the late 1990s and part of the wider Antillean urban music scene. He rose to prominence as one of the founders of Général Crew, a collective he formed alongside fellow artists Kalash and Saïk, which became a launching pad for Caribbean dancehall talent reaching audiences across the French-speaking world. His music blends Jamaican dancehall rhythms with Creole and French lyrics, zouk and kompa influences, and a distinctly Antillean flow that helped bring Guadeloupean urban music to mainland France and beyond.
