Sobre o artista
PJ Harvey, nascida Polly Jean Harvey em Yeovil, Inglaterra, é uma das artistas mais inquietas e aclamadas do rock britânico, a única intérprete a vencer o Mercury Prize duas vezes. Iniciou sua carreira profissional em 1991 à frente do trio homônimo PJ Harvey antes de seguir carreira solo após dois álbuns, e passou mais de três décadas reinventando seu som a cada lançamento, em vez de se fixar em um estilo único.
Multiinstrumentista talentosa, tocando guitarra, baixo, teclados, saxofone, violino, violoncelo e bateria, Harvey passou do blues-punk cru e confrontador de discos iniciais como «Rid of Me» e «Dry» para um som mais polido e voltado ao rádio em «To Bring You My Love» e «Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea», seguindo depois para um território mais sombrio e experimental em álbuns como «Is This Desire?» e «White Chalk».
