Jennifer Lopez, nascida em 24 de julho de 1969, no Bronx, Nova York, é uma cantora, atriz, dançarina e produtora americana de ascendência porto-riquenha. Ganhou fama inicialmente como dançarina no programa de esquetes In Living Color antes de migrar para o cinema no início dos anos 1990. Em 1999 iniciou sua carreira musical com o álbum de estreia On the 6, impulsionado pelo single número um «If You Had My Love», tornando-se uma das primeiras estrelas pop latinas a dominar as paradas dos EUA.
Seu som mistura pop mainstream com R&B, música dance e ritmos latinos, refletindo sua dupla carreira como cantora e atriz de cinema. Álbuns como J.Lo (2001) e This Is Me… Then (2002) produziram sucessos duradouros como «Jenny from the Block» e «Ain’t Your Mama», enquanto sua colaboração com Pitbull em «On the Floor» (2011) se tornou um hino global das pistas de dança. Também gravou em espanhol, com Como Ama una Mujer sendo um grande sucesso de crossover.
