Jennifer Lopez, nacida el 24 de julio de 1969 en el Bronx, Nueva York, es una cantante, actriz, bailarina y productora estadounidense de ascendencia puertorriqueña. Saltó a la fama como bailarina en el programa de sketches In Living Color antes de pasar a la actuación cinematográfica a principios de los años noventa. En 1999 lanzó su carrera musical con el álbum debut On the 6, impulsado por el sencillo número uno «If You Had My Love», convirtiéndose en una de las primeras estrellas pop latinas en dominar las listas estadounidenses.
Su sonido combina el pop mainstream con R&B, música dance y ritmos latinos, reflejando su doble carrera como cantante y actriz. Álbumes como J.Lo (2001) y This Is Me… Then (2002) produjeron sencillos duraderos como «Jenny from the Block» y «Ain’t Your Mama», mientras que su colaboración con Pitbull en «On the Floor» (2011) se convirtió en un himno de clubes a nivel mundial. También grabó en español, con Como Ama una Mujer como gran éxito de cruce.
