Sobre el artista
They Might Be Giants (TMBG) es una banda estadounidense de rock alternativo formada en Brooklyn, Nueva York, por John Flansburgh (guitarra, voz) y John Linnell (teclados, acordeón, voz). Conocidos por letras ingeniosas y surrealistas y un sonido ecléctico y pegadizo, construyeron una base de seguidores fieles gracias a una composición inventiva que abarca rock, pop y arreglos experimentales peculiares.
En sus primeros años destacaba una formación singular con caja de ritmos acompañando a los dos Johns, que con el tiempo dio paso a una banda completa. TMBG se convirtieron en referentes del rock universitario y alternativo con temas como «Birdhouse in Your Soul» e «Istanbul (Not Constantinople)», y más tarde alcanzaron reconocimiento masivo cuando «Boss of Me», coescrita con Mike Doughty, se convirtió en el tema de la serie Malcolm in the Middle y ganó un premio Grammy.
Más allá de su catálogo de rock alternativo, TMBG se adentraron en la música infantil con notable éxito, con álbumes como Here Come the ABCs.
