Sobre el artista
Robbie Williams es un cantautor inglés nacido en Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, que saltó a la fama como miembro de la boy band Take That a principios de los años noventa antes de dejar el grupo en 1995 para iniciar una carrera en solitario. Su álbum debut Life Thru a Lens (1997) lo convirtió en estrella cuando la balada «Angels» se transformó en uno de los grandes himnos del pop británico, y el siguiente disco, I've Been Expecting You, produjo «Millennium», «Strong» y «She's the One».
A finales de los noventa y durante los 2000 Williams encadenó álbumes número uno en el Reino Unido que combinaban pop, rock y sonidos electrónicos con una imagen escénica desenfadada y teatral. También exploró el swing y los estándares de big band en Swing When You're Winning, mostrando una versatilidad más allá del pop convencional, y discos posteriores como Intensive Care lo mantuvieron como una figura relevante de la música británica. Temas como «Candy» y «Party Like a Russian» confirman su presencia continuada en las listas incluso en la década de 2010.
