Zola

Zola, whose real name is Aurélien N’Zuzi Zola, is a French rapper of Congolese descent from Évry. He spent part of his adolescence in Lure, in the Haute-Saône region, where he began rapping, and was a member of the group Osiris before pursuing a solo career, signed to the Truth Records label co-founded by his cousin Nosky and his older brother Zola Senior, with licensing through AWA.

He first drew attention through his «alloicizolaski» series of tracks in 2017 and the single «Belles femmes» later that year, followed by an appearance on the Taxi 5 soundtrack with «California Girl». Clips like «Extasy» and «Ouais ouais», produced in collaboration with Kore, along with freestyles for rap media outlets, made him one of the standout newcomers of French rap in 2018.

After finishing his literary baccalauréat in 2018, Zola committed fully to music, working again with producer Kore on his debut studio album Cicatrices, released in April 2019, which went on to achieve major commercial certification in France. His style blends melodic hooks with rap and R&B textures, and songs such as «Manger», «Papers», and «Bro Bro» reflect his continued presence in the mainstream French rap scene.
