Zac Brown Band

Zac Brown Band is an American country group formed in Atlanta, Georgia, led by singer-guitarist Zac Brown. The band built its reputation through relentless live touring in the mid-2000s before breaking through nationally with the album «The Foundation», which produced hits like «Chicken Fried» and «Toes». Their sound blends mainstream country with folk, southern rock, and jam-band influences, reflecting the group's roots in the Atlanta bar and club circuit.

Over the following decade the band expanded its palette, moving between traditional country storytelling on tracks like «Colder Weather» and «Highway 20 Ride» and more eclectic experiments incorporating rock, reggae, and even electronic production on later releases. The group operates its own label imprint, Southern Ground, which has also served as a platform for other artists.

Known for tight musicianship and vocal harmonies, the band features multi-instrumentalists who bring fiddle, mandolin, and steel guitar into their arrangements, giving their records a fuller, more organic texture than much of contemporary country radio. They remain one of the more musically adventurous acts to emerge from the 2000s country boom.
