YSY A

YSY A, born Alejo Nahuel Acosta Migliarini in 1998 in Buenos Aires to Uruguayan parents, is one of the founding figures of Argentine trap. He rose to prominence through El Quinto Escalón, a freestyle battle event he helped organize, which became a launching pad for an entire generation of Rioplatense rappers. In 2017 he joined forces with Duki and Neo Pistéa to form the short-lived but influential trio ModoDiablo, whose tour across Argentina and Uruguay cemented the trap movement's popularity outside the underground battle scene.

His solo career took off with the 2018 debut album «Antezana 247», named after the street where he grew up, which established him as one of the genre's leading voices. He followed it with the conceptual record «HECHO A MANO» in 2019, built around eleven tracks each produced by a different Argentine producer, tied to his own clothing line. Musically, YSY A blends trap, rap, and pop-leaning hooks with electronic and R&B textures, favoring melodic, conversational delivery over aggressive bravado.

Beyond his own catalog, he remains a key reference point for the Argentine and broader Latin American trap scene, credited with helping professionalize freestyle culture and bridge it into mainstream urban music.
