Young T & Bugsey

Young T & Bugsey are a British hip-hop duo from Nottingham, in the East Midlands of England, an area whose 0115 dialling code gave the local scene its «The Five» nickname. Ra'chard «Young T» Tucker and Doyin «Bugsey» Julius broke through in 2016 with viral YouTube singles before landing their first major hit with «Gangland» alongside Belly Squad, followed by a standout feature on D Block Europe’s «4x4».

Their profile rose further in 2018 through a guest verse on Stay Flee Get Lizzy’s «Ay Caramba» with Fredo, and in 2019 they scored a genuine mainstream breakthrough with «Strike A Pose» featuring Aitch, a platinum-certified summer anthem that cracked the UK Top 10. The duo’s sound blends UK rap and grime cadences with melodic, radio-friendly hooks, a combination that has made them a bridge between underground scenes and pop charts.

In March 2020 they released their debut mixtape, Plead The 5th, led by the single «Don’t Rush», which became one of the most recognisable UK rap records of that year thanks to a viral remix trend. Their catalogue also includes «Don’t Rush (Remix)» and «En Route», reflecting a steady climb from local YouTube buzz to national chart presence.
