Young Scooter, born Kenneth Edward Bailey on March 28, 1986, was a rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. He built his name in the city's mixtape scene, aligning with two of the most influential figures in Atlanta hip-hop: he joined Future's Freebandz imprint in 2012 as one of its founding artists, and the following year signed with Brick Squad Monopoly under Gucci Mane's 1017 Records banner, led by Waka Flocka Flame. Those dual affiliations placed him at the center of Atlanta's trap scene during a formative period for the genre.

His breakthrough came with the 2012 mixtape Street Lottery, anchored by the hit single «Colombia», which became one of his signature records and showcased the gritty, street-focused storytelling and distinctive raspy delivery that defined his style. He continued releasing mixtapes and collaborating widely across the Atlanta scene throughout the 2010s, further raising his national profile with a guest verse on Future and Juice WRLD's «Jet Lag» in 2018, which reached the Billboard Hot 100.

Known for his relentless work ethic and deep ties to Atlanta's trap pioneers, Young Scooter remained a respected figure in the genre for his authenticity and unique voice. He died on March 28, 2025, his birthday, following an incident in Atlanta.
