Xavier Wulf

Xavier Wulf, born Xavier Beard in East Memphis, Tennessee, is an American rapper who emerged from the underground cloud rap scene of the early 2010s. He began his career as a teenager under the name Ethelwulf, producing his own beats and self-releasing music before joining the influential collective Raider Klan, with whom he dropped his early mixtape work. After parting ways with the group, he adopted the name Xavier Wulf around 2013 and sharpened his artistic identity with a darker, more focused sound.

As the self-proclaimed 14th Squad Captain, Wulf became a central figure in the Hollow Squad collective and, alongside Bones, Eddy Baker, and Chris Travis, helped form Seshollowaterboyz, a group central to the development of the murky, lo-fi aesthetic that shaped a generation of underground rap. His music, marked by hazy production, anime-inflected imagery, and a hypnotic flow, can be heard on tracks like «Psycho Pass», «Thunder Man», and «Fort Woe».

Over more than a dozen released projects, Wulf has collaborated with a wide range of artists including Skepta, Smokepurrp, and the late Lil Peep, and worked with producers such as Bighead and Tay Keith. Now based in Los Angeles, he remains a respected elder statesman of the cloud and underground rap movement, having influenced countless SoundCloud-era artists who followed his blueprint.
