About the artist
WOS, the stage name of Valentín Oliva, is an Argentine rapper, singer and freestyler from Buenos Aires who rose to prominence through the competitive freestyle battle scene before establishing himself as a major voice in Latin urban and rock-influenced hip hop. He came up through El Quinto Escalón, one of the biggest Spanish-language freestyle events, and went on to win national and international Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos titles, building a reputation as one of the most technically gifted rappers of his generation.
His recorded work moves fluidly between rap, rock and alternative Latin pop, blending introspective, socially conscious lyrics with dense wordplay honed in battle rap. His 2019 debut album CARAVANA marked his transition from freestyle circuits into a full artistic project, mixing live-band energy with hip hop structures and establishing a sound distinct from mainstream trap and reggaeton dominating the scene.
WOS has continued to release music that blends genres freely, drawing on rock instrumentation, psychedelic textures and rap cadences, and is widely regarded as one of the key figures who helped bring Argentine freestyle culture into the broader Latin American mainstream music conversation.
