After early tracks like «Batalow Fake» and «BarbieQ», his 2018 song «TNT» introduced a mumble-rap style delivered in thick Alexandrian slang that quickly set him apart from Cairo-centric rap scenes. His 2020 single «Dorak Gai» became a viral sensation, racking up tens of millions of views within weeks and helping make him Egypt's most-streamed artist on Spotify for several years running.

Musically, Wegz fuses American trap production with the rhythms of mahraganat and electro-shaabi, citing influences such as Young Thug and A$AP Rocky while keeping his lyrics rooted in Alexandrian street life and slang.
