Vinnie Paz

Vinnie Paz, born Vincenzo Luvineri, is a Philadelphia MC who first made his name as the frontman of Jedi Mind Tricks, a duo known for its dense, apocalyptic wordplay and dark, cinematic production. Over the years he's used a long list of aliases — Ikon the Verbal Hologram, Pazmanian Devil, Louie Doggs among them — that reflect a persona built on intensity, martial-arts and boxing imagery, and unflinching political and religious commentary.

Beyond Jedi Mind Tricks, Paz built out a solo career and became a central figure in Army of the Pharaohs, the Philadelphia rap collective known for its posse-cut brutality, as well as Heavy Metal Kings, a project pairing his rhymes with metal-adjacent production. His solo work leans into horrorcore and battle-rap traditions, dense with historical, religious and conspiratorial references delivered in a gravelly, relentless flow.
