VillaBanks

VillaBanks, born Vieri Igor Traxler in Ravenna in 2000, is an Italian rapper and singer whose childhood was split between France, Switzerland, Italy and a spell in New York because of his father's work. That upbringing left him fluent in Italian, French, English and Spanish, all four of which surface across his discography. He cites Drake, Booba and Dosseh among his rap influences, alongside electronic acts like Daft Punk and Justice, a mix that helps explain his genre-blending, melodic trap sound.

He built his following through self-produced mixtapes before releasing his debut album Non lo so in 2019, propelled by the TikTok-viral single «Candy» with Vale Pain. A second independent album, Quanto Manca, followed at the start of 2020, and by April of that year he had signed to Universal Music Italia, releasing his major-label debut El Puto Mundo that September.

Since then VillaBanks has kept building a catalog defined by multilingual bars, Auto-Tuned hooks and a restless, internet-native release pace, with tracks like «Papaya», «Caribe» and the «Il Doc» series extending his run within the new wave of Italian rap.
