Unknown T

Unknown T, born Daniel Lena on 17 August 1999, is a rapper from Homerton in Hackney, East London, and one of the defining voices of UK drill. He is closely associated with the 98’s collective, a group of MCs from the Homerton (E9) and Holly Street (E8) areas, and his deep, gritty delivery combined with a wavy, unpredictable flow set him apart from much of the drill scene when he emerged in the late 2010s.

After early uploads under the name T.Sterling and a notable 2017 debut single, Unknown T broke through with «Homerton B», a viral hit that spread rapidly on YouTube and established him as a rising figure in UK drill by the end of 2018. His run of freestyles and singles, including appearances on «Fire in the Booth» and «Daily Duppy», further cemented his reputation for sharp wordplay and dense, textured verses.

His career was interrupted in 2019 when he was arrested in connection with a murder case, but he was acquitted in February 2020. He returned with his debut mixtape Rise Above shortly after, reasserting his place in the scene. Tracks like «Mad About Bars», «AVEN9ERS» and «WW2» reflect his continued output and influence on UK drill’s sound and language.
