Ugly God

Ugly God, born Royce Cornell Davison on September 19, 1996, is a rapper and producer from Houston, Texas, with family roots in the Dominican Republic. He built his early following through internet-driven, self-produced tracks marked by deliberately absurd, meme-influenced humor and a lo-fi, DIY trap sound, initially releasing music under the name Pussy Bacon before adopting the Ugly God moniker.

His breakout came with the 2016 single «Water», a viral hit that crossed over onto the Billboard Hot 100 and established him as part of a wave of SoundCloud-era rappers who used irreverent, internet-native aesthetics to reach audiences outside traditional label channels. He followed this with his debut mixtape The Booty Tape in 2017 and the EP just a lil something before the album… in 2018, both continuing his signature blend of comedic bravado and minimalist trap production, much of which he handled himself.

Ugly God released his debut studio album, Bumps & Bruises, in 2019, rounding out a run of projects that solidified his identity as an artist who treats humor and shock value as core elements of his musical persona rather than novelty.
