Tuna - טונה

Tuna, the stage name of Itay Zvulun, is an Israeli rapper, songwriter and music producer from Petah Tikva known for his sharp storytelling and lyricism. He began his career in Israeli hip-hop crews before joining the collective HaShevet (The Tribe), a supergroup that brought together several rappers from the local underground scene, and later performed with acts including Tunaman Jones and Shotgunz before establishing himself as a solo artist.

His solo career took off with the 2015 album «Gam Ze Yaavor» («This Too Shall Pass»), whose title track became a massive hit and pushed him into the mainstream of Israeli rap. He followed it with «Tuna Park» in 2017, another commercially and critically successful record that produced multiple hit singles and further established him as one of the leading voices in Israeli hip-hop. Songs like «Besivuv», «Cowboy» and «Sahara» showcase his mix of catchy hooks, dense wordplay and personal, sometimes melancholic songwriting.

Tuna is regarded as one of the most influential and commercially successful rappers in Israel, known for bridging underground rap credibility with pop accessibility. His sound draws on rap, rock and electronic elements, and his catalogue has had a lasting impact on the sound of contemporary Hebrew-language hip-hop.
