Travis Porter

Travis Porter is an American hip hop trio from Decatur, Georgia, made up of brothers Ali and Quez alongside their childhood friend Strap. The group formed after meeting in middle school and began pursuing music together in the mid-2000s, eventually signing with Jive Records. Their sound is built around energetic, party-focused club rap, often produced with the help of the production team FKi, favoring bouncy synths, hard-hitting 808s and catchy, chant-like hooks.

The trio built their reputation through a string of high-energy singles aimed squarely at clubs and radio, including «Aww Yea», «Bananas», «Go Shorty Go» and their breakout hit «Ayy Ladies». Tracks like «Bring It Back» and «Make It Rain» further cemented their place in the early-2010s Southern hip hop party-rap scene, where playful, hook-driven verses mattered as much as beats built for dancing.

Beyond music, Travis Porter expanded their brand with the 2010 biographical film Proud to Be a Problem, documenting the group's rise from Decatur to national recognition. Their catchy, feel-good singles helped define a specific strain of Atlanta-adjacent club rap during that era, blending raunchy humor with hooks built to spread on the dancefloor.
