Tinie Tempah

Tinie Tempah, born Patrick Okogwu on November 7, 1988, is an English rapper who emerged from South London as one of the defining voices of the UK urban scene in the early 2010s. Blending grime roots with pop hooks, electronic production and R&B sensibilities, he helped bring British rap to mainstream radio and the charts on a scale few of his peers achieved, racking up seven UK number-one singles over his career.

His breakthrough came with «Pass Out» in 2010, an instant chart-topper that set the tone for his debut album Disc-Overy, which also produced hits like «Written in the Stars» (featuring Eric Turner) and «Not Letting Go» (with Jess Glynne). He followed with Demonstration (2013) and Youth (2017), each showing his willingness to move between rap, dance-pop and Afrobeats-tinged sounds rather than stay locked into one lane.

Over the years Tinie Tempah has built a long list of collaborations with artists including Emeli Sandé, Kelly Rowland, Wiz Khalifa, Ellie Goulding, Labrinth, 2 Chainz and Zara Larsson, cementing his reputation as a versatile crossover artist.
