The Cratez

The Cratez are a German production duo consisting of David Kraft and Tim Wilke, based in Göttingen, Germany. Active since around 2010, they built their reputation by producing beats for the German rap scene, initially distributing instrumentals online before catching the attention of major artists.

The duo became one of the most in-demand production teams in German hip-hop, working extensively with acts like Capital Bra, RAF Camora, and the 187 Strassenbande collective. Their sound blends trap-influenced rap production with melodic, radio-friendly elements, which helped push several tracks to the top of the German charts.

Among their most notable credits are Capital Bra's chart-topping singles «Neymar», «One Night Stand», and «Berlin lebt», as well as Bausa's hit «Was Du Liebe nennst». Their work on Capital Bra's album «Berlin lebt», which they produced in its entirety, cemented their status as central figures behind the modern German rap sound.
