About the artist
Thayne Jasperson is an American actor and dancer best known for being part of the original Broadway ensemble of Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda's genre-defining musical about the founding of the United States. Within that production he portrayed Samuel Seabury, delivering the loyalist counterpoint in the song «Farmer Refuted», one of the show's early confrontations between revolutionary fervor and colonial caution.
As an ensemble member, Jasperson also took on a variety of tracked ensemble roles and covers throughout the run of Hamilton, contributing to the show's dense choreography and layered vocal arrangements that helped make the cast recording a crossover phenomenon reaching well beyond typical Broadway audiences into hip-hop and pop listenership.
Before Hamilton, Jasperson was part of the ensemble and cast recording of Newsies, another high-energy, dance-driven Disney Broadway musical, giving him a background in physically demanding ensemble theater work.
