Tedua

Tedua, born Mario Molinari in Genoa in 1994, is one of the most distinctive voices in modern Italian rap. Raised largely in Milan after moving there with his mother, he spent part of his childhood in foster care before returning to the Genoa area, where he began rapping as a teenager. He co-founded the crew Wild Bandana alongside future stars such as Izi and Vaz Tè, releasing the mixtape Medaglia d'Oro in his formative years.

Tedua's music blends introspective, often melancholic songwriting with cinematic, atmospheric production, setting him apart from more straightforwardly commercial trap acts. Tracks like «Vertigini», «Sangue misto» and «Manhattan» showcase his ear for moody instrumentals paired with confessional lyrics about identity, loss and ambition, while later singles such as «Wasabi» and «La legge del più forte» pushed him toward broader mainstream visibility.

Over the years he has become known for concept-driven projects and a strong visual aesthetic tied to each album era, helping elevate Italian rap's artistic ambitions beyond singles-driven chart chasing. Alongside contemporaries from the Wild Bandana collective, Tedua is regarded as a key figure in shaping the sound and sensibility of Italy's post-2015 rap generation.
