Summrs

Summrs, born Deante Adam Johnson in 1999 in Lafayette, Louisiana, is an American rapper and singer known for hazy, melodic trap production paired with autotune-heavy vocals, placing him within the SoundCloud-rooted underground rap scene that emerged in the late 2010s. He was a member of the now-defunct collective Slayworld alongside artists like Goonie and Kankan, and has frequently collaborated with XanGang, Goyxrd, CashBently and Alexzander Pray.

He built his reputation on an extraordinarily prolific output, releasing nine projects in a little over half a year during 2018, including EPs like «Summr and Friends» and «Patience Is Key», and mixtapes such as «BellWorld» and «BellWorld 2». He continued at pace through 2019 with releases like «World Against Me» and «Isolation», followed by the 2021 album «Intoxicated».

Originally releasing music independently while signed to Victor Victor Records, Summrs later signed with 10K Projects in 2023. His sound blends R&B-tinged melodies, electronic textures and rap cadences, songs like «Marble Floors» and «Back 2 Da Basics» reflecting his atmospheric, emotionally raw approach to the genre.
