Spillage Village

Spillage Village is a hip-hop collective from Atlanta, Georgia, formed around members who met at Hampton University in the early 2010s. The group's core includes JID and the duo EARTHGANG (Doctur Dot and Johnny Venus), along with Hollywood JB, Jurdan Bryant, Mereba, and 6LACK, blending rap and R&B into a sound rooted in Southern hip-hop but shaped by soulful, experimental production and collective songwriting.

The collective built its identity through a trilogy of mixtapes — Bears Like This, Bears Like This Too, and Bears Like This Too Much — released between 2014 and 2016, establishing a loose, communal creative approach where members contributed both as soloists and as an ensemble. Several members have gone on to notable individual careers, with JID and EARTHGANG signing to J. Cole's Dreamville Records and 6LACK building a successful solo R&B career.

After years of anticipation, Spillage Village released their debut full-length album, Spilligion, in 2020, a project that leaned into spiritual and socially conscious themes while showcasing the group's collaborative chemistry. Tracks like «Baptize», «End of Daze», and «Shiva» reflect the collective's blend of introspective songwriting, gospel-inflected soul, and sharp rap verses.
