Sokół

Wojtek Sokół, born Wojciech Sosnowski in 1977 in Warsaw, is one of the most prolific figures in Polish hip-hop. Over more than two decades he has moved through a string of influential projects, including ZIP Skład, Sokół i Marysia Starosta, the duo with Pono known as TPWC, and WWO, building a catalog that helped define the sound of Polish rap across several eras.

His solo work, including the albums Wojtek Sokół and NIC, cemented his reputation as an artist unafraid to push the genre in new directions, blending sharp, socially aware lyricism with an evolving sonic palette that spans classic boom-bap textures and more contemporary rap production. Tracks such as «Napad na bankiet», «Chcemy być wyżej» and «Z Tobą» showcase the range of his songwriting, from combative bravado to introspective reflection.

Beyond music, Sokół co-founded the label and streetwear brand PROSTO and works under the alias Wal&Gura as a graphic designer, video director and editor, reflecting a career built as much on entrepreneurship and visual culture as on rhyme. His voice work in animation and his radio and television hosting further mark him as one of the more versatile personalities to emerge from the Polish rap scene.
