SOB X RBE

SOB x RBE is a hip-hop group from Vallejo, California, formed from the merger of two crews: SOB (originally «Sneakers Over Bitches», later reworked as Strictly Only Brothers), featuring Slimmy B, DaBoii and Lul G, and RBE (Real Boy Entertainment), Yhung T.O.'s group. The two combined while the members were still in high school, and they were mentored early on by fellow Bay Area rapper Sage the Gemini, with whom they later toured.

Their sound is rooted in the raw, bouncy Bay Area rap tradition, marked by melodic hooks from Yhung T.O., aggressive verses and a communal group dynamic where members trade bars rather than lean on a single lead voice. The single «Anti» brought them significant attention in Northern California, setting up their self-titled debut project and the 2018 follow-up «Gangin». Their breakout mainstream moment came via «Paramedic!», featured on Kendrick Lamar's «Black Panther: The Album» soundtrack, which introduced the group to a national audience.

Later in 2018 they released «Gangin II», continuing to build their catalog with tracks like «Carpoolin'», «Different» and «Lane Changing». The group's chemistry and rotating vocal leads have made them a distinctive presence in West Coast rap, credited with helping keep Vallejo and the wider Bay Area hip-hop scene in the national conversation.
