Snootie Wild, born LaPreston Porter III, was an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee, who emerged in the early 2010s as part of the city's hip-hop scene alongside artists connected to the Yo Gotti orbit. His music combined melodic hooks with Southern trap production, a style that gave him crossover appeal beyond strictly street rap audiences.

He gained wider recognition with the single «Yayo», which brought him national attention and became his signature track, later receiving remix treatment. Songs like «Made Me» and «She's A Keeper» further showcased his ability to pair catchy, sing-song delivery with hard-edged trap instrumentals, a combination that resonated on mixtapes and city radio alike.

Snootie Wild built his catalog through steady mixtape releases and singles that kept him connected to Memphis's broader rap ecosystem. He died in February 2022. His work remains a representative example of the melodic Southern trap sound that shaped mainstream hip-hop through the 2010s.
