slowthai, born Tyron Kaymone Frampton in 1994, is an English rapper from Northampton who emerged in the late 2010s as one of the most confrontational and inventive voices in UK rap. Raised by a single mother on a council estate, he channels a raw, working-class perspective into music that blends grime, punk energy and abrasive electronic production, delivered in an urgent, slurred flow. His debut album «Nothing Great About Britain» (2019) was praised for its unflinching, politically charged portrait of modern Britain, tackling class, identity and Brexit-era anxiety with both fury and dark humour.

He followed it with «Tyron» (2021), a more introspective and stylistically varied record split between aggressive bangers and vulnerable, melodic tracks about fame, mental health and self-doubt. slowthai has collaborated widely, working with artists such as Skepta, Mura Masa, Jaykae and Denzel Curry, and is known for chaotic, high-energy live performances.
